Biography:
It
all began in 2004 when Uno Jahma began to watch out for a band to play
some Bob Marley Music along with him. So Jah wanted he discovered
Christian on guitar, Markus on bass and also a drummer named Mazze.
Understanding the lack of Reggaemusic in their local scene these young
musicians were eager to fill it up with their newly presented
coversongs. After about one year the four - man Combo has grown into an
nine – man Band. Keyboarder, Percussionist, two backing ladies and a
further guitar player, namely Maxim Joker, appeared on the
SteelString-Screen.
In the next year the Demo Disc “SteelString” and the Maxi Disc “OMED”
were recorded and published, and SteelString became familiar with the
local stages. After some change of the backing-band SteelString found
itself with a new drummer and percussionist as well as with the
guitarists adopting the backing of Frontman Uno`s vocals.
The
now 7 musicians Toured The Root in 2007. About 30 concerts during the
warm season, in Germany and Austria and diverse Interviews with
Radiostations and local Newspapers formed the Activities of SteelString
in 2007. During this period the SteelString members also
developed the consciousness of trying to find their way to their own nature and style of presenting Reggaemusic.
The
Debut-Album “To The Root” was no longer out of sight, when the Playlist
was fix in the end of 2007. The Recordings started in RockShow-studios,
Germany and a longer brake from Touring was made to concentrate on work
on the Album. The Disc is...out now.
